Using XMP

  • The XMP protocol has no header like the NEC protocol. A header allows the Automatic Gain Control to settle a little before the data is decoded. This is one reason why the XMP protocol is more sensitive to the IR Receiver Module as to if the settop decoder can trigger on 1 or 2 burst.
  • You may need to use 2 bursts instead of 1 for some settops
  • To send 2 bursts use Option 4 in the transmit command
    • Channel change with 1 burst: tffff148170f443e12000d000
    • Channel change with 2 burst: tffff148170f443e12000d00400020
